Anime, or manga?

What do you prefer, the anime, or the manga? I personally like the manga better because you can make up a voice for the character and the text describes more of what is going on in the story. But that's just my opinion, what's yours?

I always like the original better than the computer modified images. Rumiko Takahashi is my favorite artist at all time ^^

i really like the manga a lot better, it seems the manga tends to lure away from the original artist, especially if it isn't mainstream.

I prefer the manga over anime most of the time. I prefer the black and white color scheme better.

I think it depends on the story really. I do agree that Inu-yasha is at its best as a manga, but other stories (or mangas) benefit being animated because in an anime you get to see your favorite character come to life, but than again thats just my opinion :P

Depends on whichever one come out first. My brain only register the first impression, and the one came out first will be the one I like better.

Manga, definately.

(My guess is that since this site is mainly for artists, the majority of people will say they prefer manga, because they can appreciate the art as well as the story.) Maybe?

Though I actually watch more anime due to it being on TV, I prefer manga. I like the style more and giving the characters voices and personalities myself, instead of letting others do it for me.

I prefer manga. I would rather read than watch something. Sometimes the animes change too much.
