Supplies Required: Pencil and a sketchbook.
This is probably my favorite step, because I have not gotten into the real technical part, but I get to transform my character from imagination to a solid form on paper, how cool is that!!!
My suggestion for you, before you finalize your designs, take a little time and show them to your friends and family, or anyone has the potential to be the reader of your work, ask their opinions. After all, readers are the ones decide whether you have done a good job. A little popularity survey of your character design will be totally worthwhile.
