This is another trying out piece for the mermaid story, finished by 2000. (It was before I moved to the US IoI... can't believe it has been that long ago). I listened to the suggestion from one manga tutorial book - to start short, so I cut one piece of the whole story to make this 8-pages graphic novel. Only 8 pages, still almost killed me because I had to squeeze time to work on it while taking care of high school works. This piece was published on a small Taiwanese manga magazine in 2002. I bet tons of readers got confused because they did not know the whole story line.

When I post it on MangaPug, I had to use PS to flip the image so the reading sequence will be the same as Japanese Manga (right to left). But the original order was left to right.

So many flowers involved in the background~
I like flowers but hate to draw them, takes so much effort to get them not looking like a pile of waste paper in the trash can…

So many details. It really looks professional. It would be nice to see the whole story in sequence from the beginning. Good luck with whatever you do though.

I still have two eight pages pieces to post ><
Maybe one day I will finish the story... hope that day will come, and I will certainly try hard...
